Demolition Derby
Demolition Derbies are a huge part of Wellington Family Speedway. Every year drivers turn out in former road cars turned destruction machines to do battle around the dirt oval.

Our demolition derbies are held under the General Rules and Regulations of Speedway New Zealand to ensure the utmost safety of our drivers and spectators. See the dare devils battle it out to the last person standing! Anyone can enter you just need a car and some gear.
For Drivers: All competitors are required to read the below rules for vehicles and conduct on the track. All vehicles are required to be at the track by 3pm on race day for scrutineering. There is a compulsory Drivers Briefing held in the club-rooms at 5.30pm on the night of the derby with the Clerk of the Course to ensure all drivers are aware of the rules of the night. This meeting is compulsory and non-attenders will not be allowed to participate in the derby (even if your car is at the track already
